before you know it, 2006's coming to an end.
2006, has been a rather good year i must say, no major slip-ups, everything is smooth.
2006. however, is also a year full of fond memories. especially so because its my first year in national service. now, im a full-time trained soldier. how cool is that? ahha, not really i guess, because i still cant really get over the fact that im serving army full time. esp with long hols like this, i feel like an civilian already. but time has changed i must say.. i no longer feel sad about booking in, instead i look forward to working with my colleagues, instructors together. at least that is one of the perks of being an instructor, that no rank is usually discussed, unless needed. haha.
anyway, i've seriously gained some weight this 2 mths. i gained 3 kgs man. shit. and the weather hasnt been kind enough for me to go do some jogging, at least to sort of make myself feel better. owells! i really look forward to the year 2007. at least i wish to get things right this coming year. 2007 will be the year i would like to get my driving license, my pink ic, and a healthy bank account!! its rather fast actually, im less than a year to ord-ing. next week would be my 1st year anniversary in the saf. fast eh! and at least im doing something meaningful too. how many people could actually proudly say they've drove an sm1 tank, fired the 75mm, high explosive, armour piercing fin stabilised discarding sabot and the canister round? at least i can! tankee have pride! im glad i made it through, all the courses in this year 2006, especially the tank commander course. its one course that really tested my everything. mentally, physically and psychologically. at my peak, im able to clock 8.32 for the 2.4km run and 7.48 for the soc, all thanks to warrant low. haha, but of course, i think theres a slim chance of me repeating that feat though..
at least i thank God for being kind to me this year 2006. i've been good, so give me a good 2007 too!? wahhaa.
today is 31st dec and its the dearest's birthday! going over l8er and the coming year, im gonna give her more happiness, and less sadness. haha! easy to say, but i'll try, in case someone says im not as nice as before again!!!! signing out! tkc!

well, my operator maintainence course for the sm1 tank is long over and im three weeks into my new job as a TANK INSTRUCTOR already. the trainees are generally okay, do see alot of myself in them when i was a trainee too. but, i do like my job. :)
i must say, life has changed alot alot, ever since my enlistment early this year on jan 7. then, i was a recruit trying to adapt to that lowly life of a recruit in bmtc. now im a 2sg to be, taking charge of a group of 24 men/trainees. life is different, more authority, more power now. plus, having two other nsf(s) with me here is definately something good, after all jiaji and peck are my coursemates once, being an instructor is therefore not that difficult anymore, with these guys help. less than a year to ORD man. @ least im not so desperate for it anymore, because sad to say, i guess i'll feel funny without wearing green in the near future. army changes life, changes me, makes me grow, as a soldier, as a man, as a son, as a friend.
the festive period, comes and goes swiftly.. christmas is long over as we await the coming of the new year. merry belated christmas everyone i guess. haha. tomorrow is the dearest's bday, i hope i dont screw things up again... im just so clumsy i guess. ha.
good day everyone!
