5 likes and dislikes about my jc life.
well, first things first. 1st 3 mths was a blast. i mean its always the case right? i was in srjc for the first 3 mths of my jc life, together with weichuan and marshall, life isnt that bad there at all! i remembered my class, 1s06, we had a pretty civics tutor man, and our class was pretty united, unlike some others. there were days we went to school only to take attendance and then disappear soon after.. we went to bowl, eat, sentosa and even to collect our class tee together. haha, those were the times. that was also when things were taking its toll on my studies.. it made me think whether i should even continue pursuing the jc path anot. but thank god i did, move on to the second part.
okay, after first 3 mths, i made a difficult decision and eventually i chose tpjc, instead of srjc. there were many many changes, environment wise, staff and not to mention, classmates. here i met OhFourAssOhFive! this bunch of people also played an really important part in my jc stay there. i mean of course right, they're my classmates. haha. i remember the BRC we had, Back Row Clan we call it.. the days we had to copy tutorials for mdm nora's lessons and how we teased miss yeo... haha. fun.
next thing i liked about jc. the food! i liked srjc's veg rice pretty much, tpjc's is not that fantastic, though the western food was pretty good too! i remembered i ate chicken chop throughout the entire j1 orientation! can you believe it?
orientation group leader. i had the opportunity to be an OGL when i was in year 2. myself, hong peng, kozaw, matthew, alexander, daniel, weiliang.. we're all together in this group called Sirius. it was really fun, an eye opener as well. you meet alot of pple there, people from all sort of schools and backgrounds..
last but not least. Soccer. i had this thing for soccer ever since i was roped in into the school's squad in tampines sec. ever since, i've been actively involved in soccer somehow, be it in school, or outside. but soccer during jc days were definately the best days of my life. i wasnt particularly happy in srjc soccer though, i didnt get to play my favourite position and all, maybe that's why i chose to leave.. however in tpjc, i got lots of chances as compared to the previous. i played in where im comfortable with and i made blood brothers like alexander and the rest. somehow i think we'd still be playing for a long long time together.. really.
i know its 5 already. but just to add one more important part. to all the people i met in srjc/tpjc, im thankful for your presence and how you've help moulded me into the person i am today. and to that person i didnt mention specifically, im thankful to you as well. i thought you're great.
buddy, as for the "not so nice" part, shall fill it in again, no mood alr. haha. till then..

hey, for those out of the armour family, its the annual Armour Road Relay this morning. This year, it was held at Pasir Ris Camp. It was known that the ARR has a long history behind it. Every year, over 15 teams vie for the officer's cup and 8 teams vying for the wospec cup. This year i represented ATI, and im glad i did. Wo Koh really prep our team really well coming towards this day. Okay, maybe i should first explain, ATI is not exactly a powerhouse or something coming into this, we have the reputation of getting 6 or 7 out of the 8 teams. But this year, our team have something different, we have fresh blood and we trained hard.
the end result, we got a smacking 4th! and only 25 secs behind eventual third 42SAR. Imagine if we got the 3rd place, people will jump man, in disbelief i guess. We performed beyond expectations, we defeated one ABG, namely 40SAR and almost got third when we're usually written off. So when i knew we got 4th, i was still extremely happy. Though we didnt get our chance up the podium, at least one thing's for sure. No one would write off ATI anymore. So thanks everyone! for this wonderful experience, esp the trainees and my beloved trainers. :)
ATI,
Excellence Always.
down with fever and sorethroat.
must be what my buddy said. Karma. haha..

genesis fc was co-founded by anthony and hero in the midst of our jc days.. i cant really remember the day that we actually started playing together but it was really special. though we're all very different players, we clicked very well and language/race and all wasnt a barrier to us. i was one of the few singaporeans in this mainly indonesian team. however, i didnt had any feeling of being ousted aside or something. everyone was very supportive and fun to be with.
we joined our first league/competition in the year 2005, i remembered because i was to have my 'A's that very year.. we went into the scene as a nobody, but we certainly left our mark there. beating zeustorm 6-0 and we went on losing only 1-0 to eventual champions sablenk. i am proud of this team really.
but times have really changed since then man.. ever since national service kicked in for the few of us.. we've had very limited playing time.. people came and left.. hero's in aust now, anthony's out of soccer for so long, so has thomas and all. javin is there as and when, youwee's back recently but on a irregular basis. what's left of the team is yen, myself, kenny, alexander, wendy. i'm just happy that we're still going on.. now, we've the inclusion of zul, husaini, kozaw, daniel soh, daniel the keeper, ryan, sc etc.. and most importantly wichers. though sometimes im really pissed off with the way he does things and in turn lashing out at him, ultimately i still appreciate there's someone there doing all the organizing and stuff, he's the reason behind why genesis is still around, with new jerseys and a whole new crew!
recently, life hasnt been good for me. i lost my girl, and life hasn't been kind to me. but the reason why im still happy and all is soccer man! and thanks to these guys, im still having the time of my life. soccer has never failed to fill the void within me and i believe i'll continue to play, on and on, on and on.. never stopping. unless i become frail and too weak to continue. now im almost there, just less than 4 mths to the end of my ns, i hope that fc genesis would continue to inspire, change lives out there. like how it had enhanced mine. long live genesis.

genesis, team of 2005.
