everyday we're running here, running there.. playing sports. soccer, floorball, basketball, tchoukball, volleyball, hockey, land telematch, water telematch, handball. haha. these are just some of the games we played!
i personally like the culture over @ PESS. its like.. u can play anything, anytime, anywhere! and it helps that everyone there is a sportsman/sportswoman, it makes playing sport together such a easy tasking, cos everyone's so "on" and so sporting. :)
although i wont know if i'd enjoy being a teacher in the future, one thing's for sure. im so gonna enjoy PESS days! :)
to hall 12 FOC tmr! till sat.
11:14 PM
yesterday was the course briefing and the online course registration! before yesterday, everyone was still having doubts regarding what subjs they gonna teach and all. BAH. alas, now everyone can have a clearer idea of what is gonna happen, however.. the slots still pending availability. apparently you cant just choose the subjs u wanna teach. they'll be going by merit. so yeah.. anyway.. my choices are:
1) Phy Ed and Sports Sci + Bio
2) Phy Ed and Sports Sci + Chem
shall see how it ends up man! :)
anw! camp is starting today. from today onwards, all the way till next saturday. i'll be in camps! i bet i'll be half dead by then. but i guess its all worth it, we're so gonna enjoy the camps right!
Pess Camp : 24th - 27th
Hall Camp : 28th - 2nd
Shall plan when to shift in to hall soon as well. finally the hall issue is settled, with the seven musketeers finally getting the hall 12 they wanted from the start. kudos to the sports sec for helping us! that being said. i'm so gonna rush back from school tmr to attend wc's 21st! i promised him i'll try my best to be there, and i've asked my ogl if im able to be excused for tmr's evening progs and she said should be okay! just hope what she said carries some weight. haha..
so.. shall update more when i come back from the camps! tc guys.

Yes, thanks to erawan, i've finally completed my registration to run @ the 1st nike+ human race this coming august 31st! now i just gotta make payment @ sistic outlets to confirm my race. (:
although theres a lot of comments that this race is just to sell the brand "nike" and all, personally i find that this race offers more than what the other races offer, for eg mizuno wave run. the distance covered is the same, the enrolment fee is also pretty much similar. however, for nike, u get to run for the donation of money to organizations.. that, i think, other than the great goodies, is one great reason for you guys to join this race! right now, im pretty much trying to get pple to join the race with me. so, interested peeps do contact me for details. fee is 26.75 btw, doest kill la! :)
anw, last thursday concludes my last assignment day @ compact administrative services. though its a really "dry" and "boring" job, i've got to say, the great company there does makes it a little difficult to leave. i was kinda sad as i spoke to rahmah.. she was shocked cos she didnt realise it was my last day already. there, too, were other nice people who were sad to see me go.. namely my group, aunty janet and all. i'll go back and visit you guys i promise!! you too, kelly loh! im going back to find u whenever i can.. (:
we also had castaway on thursday night, we went to mind's cafe for a change, of the usual bowling/pool therapy. haha. was pretty fun man! i must say i kinda suck in most games. but it's the company i guess. had a great day! not to mention my haul, a new pair of asics ds trainer 13. its damn comfy i tell you.
also managed to catch up with charmaine yesterday for dinner too! subway, then just walked around. spending money.. bought this new wallet again. a topshop wallet, cos the one i bought with alex in thailand, gave up one me already. not even a week man! sigh!
anw, registration was a breeze. don, cheng wei and myself got lucky, as we managed to escape the long queue for the regist. as such, by 3 we're ready to go.. finally things are starting to look clearer for our orientation in NIE man. for the past few weeks, its like the "whats gonna happen" and "how to do this, how to do that" feeling. finally, we sort of know what to expect already. great! looking forward to the camps...!
p.s: NTU matric card not very nice eh..

poor second molar had to be extracted because i didnt take care of my it when i was young, thus resulting in the teeth affecting the nerves. but it was such a relief. i couldnt sleep for the whole of thurs night and friday night due to the throbbing pain. and at last, the pain was relieved, and i can happily celebrate the birth of my driving license now. :D albeit the experience @ the dentist was one really not worth elaborating on.
anw, went to sign my teacher training agreement on saturday morning, sort of my contract la. realised that the no. of guys are seriously outnumbered man. guess we'll be the massive minority there! didnt see much of the familiar faces, but there were some who had the "teacher look" and the others just didnt look like one! like me!! imagine me teaching you PE. hmph. but i guess i'll try to be more teacher-like. by @ least working on my fitness now.
drove around in dad's and bro's car over the weekend.. i prefer driving with bro because he gives me so much more freedom in driving, whereas dad's like a dictator! urgh. guess it will be a while before i can venture out on my own. for now, im just looking forward to school opening.
regist this 18th july!
orientation camp this 24th july!
hall camp this 28th july!

i should be happy, no? OF COURSE NOT! when im nursing such a bad toothache now.
it all happened when i went to my dentist to have my filling filled. now it hurts so much, i feel like crying. damn. actually woke up four times last night due to the overbearing pain. im just glad it didnt affect my driving. gosh, please take the pain away from me!!!
was supposed to meet kelly and kk today, and had to postpone it cos of the toothache. but nevertheless, JUST TAKE THE PAIN AWAY!! argh!
anw, driving test today, i dont know whether it was luck, but i just feel so blessed to pass it. the license having eluded me on may 22nd. finally landed in my hands today. i may not have done it without the well-wishes from my friends and family. and my mum who prayed so much that i pass, thanks alot mum. now i can be the one fetching you people around already! enough of being mocked that i do not have a driving license!!! wee...

@mazing th@iland to those who didnt realised my imminent absence, and to those who knew. yes i'm back from thailand! the 5D4N trip is one of many memories and of great fun, not to mention the great shopping haul many of us brought back with us. as such, how could i not blog about such a milestone in my seemingly boring 8 months of holidays since ORD? 02 July 2008 our flight was scheduled to depart from the changi airport @ 1055am, as such, the five of us reached there slightly before 9. with kozaw being late as usual! haha. but the fun kicks off from there. we arrived @ bangkok intl airport @ around 2pm, and we spent 3100 baht just to take a luxurious mini van to our first destination, pattaya. we had a 2000 baht seafood lunch there, which was still cheap, considering what we ate. so we checked in into the sawasdee seaview hotel @ around 4pm and after changing, we headed to explore destination pattaya. we found out, that pattaya was largely infested with "ang mohs", some of whom i believe are war veterans, just trying to retire there. most of them are accompanied by the thai girls. i guess many thai girls enjoy being the "spg" that we always talk about eh. :) anw, due to the late timing we arrived @ pattaya, we missed the water sports, and subsequently, the bad weather also thwarted most of our plans to explore the red light districts of pattaya. however, we're not spared from the jostling from the thai girls in the small alleys we managed to cover too. seriously, this situation does make me feel rather awkward.. and thats probably the end of day 1, simple, but fun, coupled with all the street food that was really nice, it was a fitting start to a great holiday. 03 July 2008 we woke up that very morning, to realise that the weather was still pretty bad, drizzling and a bit wet. however, we still managed to catch the banana boat and the parachutes in action @ the beach, as early as 7am in the morning man. however, we decided to gave those a miss, because we're very focused on our aim of "shopping". very feminine i know, haha, but who cares, everyone wants to be wearing something nice during university orientation, and so do we! so that morning we went to explore the town of pattaya and took many interesting pictures that i hope to receive soon. after which, we set off for bangkok @ around 10am. it was a very brief encounter with pattaya, but i wouldnt mind heading there again.. it was quite a nice place to chill, with the laid back life, as compared to the hectic life we all lead over here.. sigh. and so, with the help of uncle tanat (taxi driver) fast driving (he drove @ 140km/h most of the time), we reached bangkok within 2 hours, but the traffic conditions took us 3 hours to reach our hotel for checking in, we checked in into first house hotel, in between pratunam and pletinum. it was in the middle of the shopping district, and we couldnt have been more happier man! haha. and so, we hestitated no longer than half an hour, and off we go shopping! we started with pratunam shopping mall and then the pletinum fashion mall and the shopping districts within our area. first day of shopping and we're already damn satisfied. 04 July 2008 on friday, we headed out early in the morning to the thailand international stadium, where the shops there sold really nice soccer jerseys as well as soccer apparels. all of us bought some jerseys there. kozaw also got himself a nice adidas predator (white/gold) at an unflattering price of SGD180. how to find in singapore sia? great deal. :) after which, we tuktuk down to MBK, also known as Ma Boon Krong (not sure how is it spelt). 05 July 2008 this is apparently the last day for us, as we are gonna catch the 7am flight on saturday, so we wasted no chance and headed early to cha tu chak weekend market. there, is where u can find anything, and absolutely anything, from fashion to furniture to food to animals. it was a great place, and i agree with kim that we cant finish browsing all the shops there in one day. thus, we just decided to browse as many shops as possible in our "half a day" stay there. managed to find some nice souveneirs for my colleagues in compact, and also alot of clothes man. it was yet another great shopping experience. despite the scorching sun. the next half a day was spent @ pletinum again, while daniel was having his hair highlighted. quite a great job i must say, and its not expensive @ all. maybe they really use drain water eh dan!? :D then, we managed to meet up with belle from tpjc in the evening, and we headed to volk's bar and restaurant for dinner. she is currently studying in the university of bangkok, and she claims life here is really better. which i agreed! the people here are super nice, the shopping and food here is great.. sometimes it does put singaporeans to shame. owells. anyway thanks to belle, we got to enjoy a great dinner before we departed. then we headed back to hotel, before we went for our first clubbing trip together!! (most of the time, there'd be missing members, but this time, all of us were there) we went to this club called route 66. and it was pretty fun, i got pretty high thanks to the shots from kozaw. the music there was okay i think, but the girls are really hot. and there are more girls in the club also!! can u believe it. so we ended on a high, we left the club @ 230am, went back to hotel, showered. amd next thing we know, we're off to the airport. leaving the land of smiles. but we weren't smiling, we're walking zombies. thanks to the lack of sleep. which also explains why i spent the whole afternoon today sleeping. hahaha. but GREAT FUN MAN! thanks guys. pics to be uploaded soon enough! as a lucky guy to be able to experience both taiwan and thailand first hand, i'd like to conclude... taiwan vs thailand: shopping : thailand
MBK proves to be yet another pletinum and pratunam mall, however, bigger, like vivocity compared to parkway parade, however, as MBK's stuff are slightly higher on its price range, we didnt manage to do much shopping there. so we headed back to the humble alleys around our hotel, and the sheer thought of the street food and many apparels sold there, makes me feel really happy. wahhaa.
clubbing scene : taiwan
girls : taiwan
security : taiwan
culture : thailand
people : draw
value for money : thailand
food : thailand
as a result:
thailand 4 - 3 taiwan
